Brad Murphy
Armstrong Relocation Company

Brad Murphy began his education at Calhoun Community College, where in 1999 he received an Associates in Applied Science, Machine Tool Technology. He then furthered his education at Athens State University, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Brad interned with General Motors from 1998 until graduating in 2002, developing his understanding of the Engineering, Supervision, Shipping & Receiving, Finance and Production Control Logistics Departments. Spending an entire year in each department created an invaluable learning experience and skills that have followed him throughout his career.

In 2002, Brad joined Armstrong Relocation as a Salesperson and quickly became a top 10 producer in his company of 150. Brad has produced over $25M in sales for his organization with expertise in National Accounts, Residential Moving and Commercial Moving services. Office and Industrial moving are his passion and feels that, with his leadership, his team has been able to change how the Huntsville area handles large scale moves, especially when there is a short timeline. His goal is to reduce or eliminate any downtime a company experiences during their relocation process. Two of his team’s greatest accomplishments have been moving the Stanford Human Genome Center from Palo Alto, CA to the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in 2007 and moving 300 fully furnished offices in four days for Wyle/CAS in 2013.

In 2016, Brad and his equity business partner, Jenny Johnson, became President and CEO of Armstrong, Huntsville (a woman-owned small business - WBENC). They have since doubled revenue and experienced their 4th consecutive record year of profitability. Since their agency's inception in 1998, they have doubled their drivers and fleet, continued to add new business relationships and are constantly looking for new ways to reduce expenses.

When Brad is not working, he spends his free time with his beloved daughter, Ava Bradley Murphy. Each year, he takes time to visit a tropical destination, relax by the pool and read an entire book to defrag from his busy schedule. A self-proclaimed foodie, he enjoys dining out and trying new foods. Otherwise, you can find him at home watching the latest streaming TV, movies and sports.
